Dinajpur road crash kills 2 teachers

DINAJPUR: At least two teachers were killed and other 15 people injured in a road accident near Shatmile area under Sadar upazila on Dhaka- Dinajpur highway on Wednesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Faruq Ahmed, 50, headmaster of Birganj Madanpur government primary school and Abdur Razzak, 45, lecturer of Pakerhat Degree College hailed from Kashba area of the district.

The injured were rushed to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital, said a spot account of the accident.

Witnesses said a rashly driven passenger bus plunged into a ditch as its kdriver lost control over the steering at around 10:45am, leaving Faruque and Razzak dead on the spot and 15 passengers injured.  

Angry locals blocked the highway after the deadly accident.

Confirming the matter, Dinajpur Kotwali police station Sub-inspector Abdus Subahan told banglanews that police rushed to the spot to avoid any untoward situation on the highway.
