COMILLA: Two people were killed and 10 others injured in a head on collision between a bus and a truck on Dhaka-Chittagong highway of Gangra area in Chauuddagram upazila of the district on Wednesday afternoon.

One of the deceased was identified as Sheikh Farid, 35, the driver and another one was the helper of the bus.

Witnesses said that a Chittagong bound BRTC bus collided head on with a goods laden truck in the Gangra area, leaving the bus driver dead on the spot and 11 others including the helper injured.

The injured were admitted to Chauddagram Upazila Health Complex where the helper died under treatment, witnesses added.

Officer-in-Charge of Chauddagram Thana Ismail Mia confirmed the matter to banglanews.
