SYLHET: Miscreants chopped to death a businessman in Tantipara area if the city on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Sohel Mia, 35, a travel businessman by profession and hailed from Jamalganj of Sunamganj district.

Sources said on Wednesday noon local saw Sohel’s body at his rented bachelor house and informed police.

On information, Criminal Investigative Department (CID) members recovered the body and sent Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue.

Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Thana Nasir Uddin Mahmud confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Several marks of sharp weapons attack have been found in the victim’s body, he added.
