Dinajpur road crash kills 2 teachers

DINAJPUR: Two teachers were killed and 15 others injured in a road accident on Dinajpur-Dhaka highway in Satmile area of Sadar upazila of the district.

The deceased were identified as Faruk Ahmed, 50, Headmaster of Madanpur Primary School, Birganj and Abdur Razzak, 45, Lecturer of Pakerhat Degree College, Khansama also president of Birganj Nijpara Union.

Witnesses said a Dhaka-bound passenger bus plunged into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the steering in the area, leaving the teachers dead on the spot and 15 others injured.

On information, Fire Service men rushed the spot and recovered the bodies and rescued the injured.

The injured were admitted to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital.

Sub-Inspector of Dinajpur Kotwali Thana Abdus Sobhan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
