NARAYANGANJ: Armed robbers swooped on the house of a businessman at Daulatpur village under Fatullah thana early Sunday and looted cash and kind worth about Tk 70 lakh.

Witnesses said the armed bandits, numbering 8/10, stormed the house Saiful at about 3am and held the residents hostage at gunpoint.

The gang looted Tk 25 lakh in cash and 10 tolas of gold ornaments in the heist.

“They made their away hurling bombs, which left Saiful injured,” says a firsthand account of the daring dacoity.

Later, police rescued the injured businessman and sent him to hospital.

Fatullah Thana OC informed that they were taking preparation to file a case.
