KISHOREGANJ: President Abdul Hamid was accorded mass reception at a programme on Austagram Pilot High School ground of the district on Monday.

In the programme, Abdul Hamid recalling his memory in haor area, he said, “I spent my whole life in this region. I always remember my native village area.”   

Mentioning that the people of the other parts of the country do not have any clear idea about haor region, he said, “I tried to make the area familiar to all.”

He told his audience” “I put all-out efforts to include the haor area in development plan in different ways for geographical reason.”

People of all walks of life of the upazila, including children, thronged the venue to see the President at a glance.

Reception celebrating committee convener Rawshan Ali presided over the function.

This is the first visit of Abdul Hamid at Austagram after being President of the country.
