JHENAIDAH: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also president of ruling Awami League, is set to address a mass rally in the district on Tuesday afternoon.

The helicopter carrying the PM landed at the helipad of Jhenaidah Cadet College at around 2:30pm.

Later, she inaugurated a sculpture of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib named ‘Prerona 71 (Inspiration 71)’ at a road circle adjacent to Chuadanga bus stand.  

After taking rest for a while at the Circuit House, Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate 12 development works at around 2.45pm and lay foundation stone of four at the Government Boys’ High School ground.

She also will address a rally here arranged by district unit of Awami League with state minister for fisheries and water resources ministry Abdul Hye MP in the chair.

Later, Prime Minister will return to Dhaka by the helicopter.

Personal Secretary-1 of Prime Minister Zahangir Alam confirmed the schedule.
