NETROKONA: A Netrokona court sentenced four men to go gallows for killing BNP activist Taher.

The convicts are- Abu Talib, 48, Abdur Razzak, 35, Swapon Mia, 28 and Siddque, 45.

Additional District and Session Judge Abdul Hamid passed the order Wednesday.

Court sources said that the convicts chopped Taher severely inside a mosque on May 25 in 2001 while he was praying. Later he was rushed to Sadar Hospital where doctor declared him dead.

His wife Sahera filed a case on the following day against 15 people and on September 9 in 2001, police submitted charge sheet accusing five people.
