Tamirul Ad-Din plans to commit subversive acts

DHAKA: Tamirul Ad-Din, a local Islamist militant group, had a plan for carrying out huge subversive acts across the country after Eid-ul-Azha.

Two leaders of Harkatul Zihad Bangladesh came up with the disclosure after arrested with huge firearms and explosives by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recently.

The detainees are Khalilur Rahman alias Shahriar and Sharifuzzaman alias Milton, former leaders of banned Islamist organization Harkatul Zihad Bangladesh.

Acting of a tip off (RAB) intelligence team arrested them from Ashulia Bridge area with--- a foreign made pistol, 32 rounds of bullet, 1135 rounds of SMG bullets, power gel explosive which weighs around three-kg, 110 feet cortex, five detonators, one blasting machine and eight cocktails.

RAB officials said that the arms and explosives could have damaged a lot in the country.

RAB source said that the banned militant outfits are continuing their secret move to carry out subversive acts anew in the capital and elsewhere in the country under the cover of the new outfit.

RAB Legal and Media Wing Director ATM Habibur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
