GAZIPUR: The agitated workers started protest and confined the General Manager of the factory on Thursday morning protesting the malpractice of the authority.

A journalist of My TV, Masud Sarker, however, was assaulted by the authority while trying to gather information there.

Hundreds of the workers of Bhiela Composite Factory of Tongi are staging protest inside the factory by confining the GM Razzak at his office.

The workers locked the factory from inside so the law enforcers could not enter there.

Actually unrest workers’ had started on Wednesday afternoon following GM’s misbehave with workers and sexual harassment of female workers. But they joined the job on Thursday morning and at one stage they started protest again.

Additional law enforcers deployed surrounding the factory as the condition deteriorated.
