SIRAJGANJ: The 30-Km tailback on Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge highway started to ease and vehicles are slowly gaining their normal speed from Saturday morning.
Highway police and local sources said that vehicles were moving slowly because of the gridlock of last two days.
Besides, a goods laden truck went out of service on Friday that created 30-Km long traffic congestion and pushed hundreds of homebound passengers into serious sufferings.
Later, the truck was removed on Saturday morning and the movements of vehicles moving becoming normal.
Confirming the matter Hatikumrul Highway Officer-in-Charge Ali Farid Ahmed told banglanews, “Police is working to reduce the traffic jam.”
