2 women commit suicide in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA: Two women committed suicide by jumping under the wheels of trains in Naldanga and Bamandanga rail station area of the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Shahera Begum, 37, wife of Aiyub Ali of Manduar Para village in Sadullapur upazila and Kaothani Bewa, 65, wife of late Masir Uddin of Kisamat Sorbananda village of Sundarganj upazila.

Sources said Shahera Begum committed suicide by jumping under Lalmonirhat-bound Lalmoni Express in Outer Signal area of Naldanga rail station centering family feud.

Meanwhile, Kaothani Bewa left home on Friday afternoon for the same reason. Later, her beheaded body was found on the rail track at Kisamat Sorbananda village.

Officer-in-Charge of Bonarpara Railway Thana Saidur Rahman told banglanews that two unnatural death (UD) cases were filed in this connection with the thana.
