PABNA: At least 15 shops were gutted in a devastating fire at Ataikula Bazar under Sathia upazila of the district early Monday.

Sources said the fire originated from an electric short circuit at a tea stall at around 1:00am and spread out to adjacent shops.

On information, three fire fighting units rushed to the spot and doused the fire after five hours frantic efforts.

Senior Officer of Pabna Fire Service Station Rafiquzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The loss of the fire was primarily estimated about Tk 50 lakh.
