JAMALPUR: Two people were killed and seven others injured as a passenger bus plunged into a roadside ditch in Nurundi Ghoradhap area under Sadar Upazila of the district on Monday evening.

However, the deceased could not be identified immediately.

The critically injured were admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.  

Sources said a rashly driven passenger bus plunged into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving the two people dead on the spot and seven others injured.

Officer-in-Charge of Jamalpur Sadar Thana Mujibur Rahman Majumder confirmed the matter to banglanews.
