Bus plunge injures 30 in Jamalpur

JAMALPUR: At least 30 people were injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch in Nayapara area of Bakshiganj upazila of the district on Bakshiganj-Roumari haighway Tuesday morning.

Critically injured nine persons were admitted to Bakshiganj Health Complex and the others were locally treated.

Sub-Inspector of Bakshiganj Thana Sohijol Haque told banglanews that a Roumari-bound reserve bus plunged into a roadside ditch in Nayapara area of Bakshiganj upazila at around 9.00am as the driver lost control over the steering, leaving 30 people injured.

Nine critically injured persons were rushed to Bakshiganj Health Complex, he added.
