Train-pickup collision kills 2 in Comilla

COMILLA: Two persons were killed and two more were injured after a collision between an express train and a pickup van near Tejer Bazar area at Nangalkot upazila of the district on Thursday morning.

The deceased were identified as pickup driver Momin, 20, hailed from Feni and Makel, 35, from Nangalkot upazila.

Sources said a Sylhet-bound Paharika Express train crashed into a raw leather-loaded pickup van while it was running through the Tejer Bazar rail crossing at around 11:00am, leaving the pickup driver dead on the spot.

Later, critically injured Malek was rushed to a local hospital where on duty doctor declared him dead.
