Joy set to address roadside rallies

DHAKA: Sajib Wajed Joy, son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, is now on way to Gopalganj by road on Friday morning.

Jay, the information technology adviser to PM, started his journey from Dhaka at around 9:30am.

Party sources said on his way to Goplaganj, Joy is set to address several roadside rallies in Sreenagar of Munshiganj, Mawa Ghat, Shibchar of Madaripur, Maksudpur, Kashiani and other places of Gopalganj.

Later, he is likely to pay tribute to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, his grandfather, by placing floral wreaths at the mazar of Bangabandhu in Tungipara upazila of Gopalganj.

Besides, Different levels Awami League leaders, Redwan Siddik Bobi, only son of Sheikh Rehana, Sheikh Helal Uddin accompanied Joy during the visit.

After staying at night in Gopalganj, Joy will attend different programmes in Bagerhat, Khulna and Jessore on Saturday.

Then he will return Dhaka.

Ahead of upcoming parliamentary elections, Joy will seek vote for Awami League during the visit.
