SATKHIRA: Two people of a family died in a septic tank at Komorpur village of Kaliganj upazila of the district on Friday noon.

The deceased were identified as Liakat Ali Kochi, 46 and his nephew Ershad Ali, 28.

Sources said Liakat fell into septic tank unconsciously while he was cleaning it. “To save his maternal uncle, Ershad got down the tank and they died after a few moments,” said a spot account of the incident.

Officer-in-Charge of Kaliganj Thana Aktaruzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
