COX’S BAZAR: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel held 36 more people from Inani sea beach under Ukhia Upazila of the district on Friday night while trying to go to Malaysia illegally through sea route.

Confirming the matter, Ukhia Thana Officer-in-Charge Gias Uddin Mia told banglanews, “Acting on tip off, police held them at around 10:00pm as they were trying to leave country for Malaysia illegally.

A case will be filed after identifying the broker through interrogation of the detainees, he added.
