The rally to mark anniversary of the July-August mass uprising organized by the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), student wing of BNP has started.

However, leaders and activists have gathered in the capital's Shahbagh to attend their student rally.

The JCD leaders and supporters from different parts of the country joined the rally.

The rally was scheduled to begin at 2:30pm with the recitation from the verses from the Holy Quran.

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, and other senior leaders will address the event.
