Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Saturday said that the party acting chairman Tarique Rahman is the country’s future prime minister.
Speaking at the national council of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) on August 9, he said Tarique Rahman’s 31-point proposal holds the potential to bring transformative changes to the country’s health sector and beyond.
Mirza Fakhrul further criticized the culture of mutual violence that, he said, has destroyed the nation, urging society to break free from this destructive cycle.
He also condemned various government policies, including those related to the pharmaceutical industry, emphasizing that ensuring not only voting rights but all fundamental rights of the people is essential.
In addition, Mirza Fakhrul appealed to the government to guarantee medical treatment for those injured during the July mass uprising.
