Police have arrested Aminur Rahman Selim, a fugitive wanted in connection with the attack on students and the public in Manikganj, who also served as the Assistant Private Secretary (APS) to former health minister Zahid Malek.

Officer-in-Charge of Manikganj Sadar Police Station, SM Aman Ullah, confirmed the arrest on Thursday morning (August 14).

Aminur Rahman Selim is the son of Altaf Master from Ramanpur village in Dighi Union, Sadar Upazila.

OC Aman Ullah said Selim was arrested from his residence in Dighi on Wednesday night based on a tip-off.

Selim would be sent to court after the completion of legal procedures, he added.
