The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will submit its opinion by 20 August after reviewing the final draft of the “July National Charter 2025” prepared by the National Consensus Commission.
BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed told the media on Sunday (August 17), that the draft contained certain inconsistencies and some issues had not been presented accurately.
The National Consensus Commission has already circulated the final draft of the charter to various political parties.
The document includes reform proposals concerning the state constitution, electoral system, judiciary, public administration, police administration, and anti-corruption measures.
According to the draft, the commission and several political parties have reached a consensus on a number of issues. However, not all parties have agreed on every proposal, and some have raised objections to specific recommendations.
