Bangladesh’s Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin met a Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) delegation on Thursday (October 23) at the Election Commission Bhaban in Dhaka.
The talks began around 11:00am and were expected to cover issues including the redrawing of parliamentary constituencies and other matters related to the next national elections.
The BNP team included Standing Committee member Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, Chairperson’s Advisory Council member Ismail Jabiullah and former Election Commission secretary Dr Mohammad Zakaria.
The meeting takes place two days after a three-member BNP delegation—led by Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee members Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, and Salahuddin Ahmed—held talks with Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus as part of a series of political consultations.
