DHAKA: Newly appointed Jatiya Sangsad whip Mahbub Ara Begum Gini paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Gini placed floral wreaths at Bangabandhu’s portrait in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi in the city on Friday morning.

She was accompanied by parliament whip Iqbalur Rahim, lawmakers Advocate Umme Kulsum Smirti, Akhter Jahan and Hanufa Akhter there.

On Tuesday, president Md Abdul Hamid appointed Gini, Awami League’s from Gaibandh -2 constituency, as a Whip in the 10th Jatiya Sangsad (parliament).
