BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi today condemned acts such as breaking graves and burning bodies, saying they go against the teachings of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), and called for unity and reflection on the Prophet’s message of peace and harmony.
Speaking at a Milad organized by the BNP to mark Eid-e-Miladunnabi at the party’s central office in Nayapaltan, Rizvi said, “Today, we find ourselves divided. We are witnessing incidents of grave vandalism and body burning, none of which reflect the teachings of our beloved Prophet.”
He alleged that the unrest under the banner of the “Tawhidi Janata” is part of both international and domestic conspiracies. “Even during the Pakistan era, we never saw shrines being attacked or bodies burned. The interim government must investigate if a similar plot is unfolding now,” he added.
Reaffirming BNP’s commitment to the people, Rizvi said, “BNP is the party of the common people. We uphold the country, its culture, and the democratic values cherished by its citizens.”
Highlighting the Prophet’s life and teachings, he lamented that instead of embracing his message, society remains divided by sects and factions.
The program concluded with a prayer led by Maulana Selim Reza, convener of BNP’s Olama Dal. BNP leaders Khairul Kabir Khokon, Advocate Abdus Salam Azad, and Mir Sharafat Ali Shofu were present at the occasion.
