PM reaches London

LONDON: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reached in London on Monday afternoon (local time) after completion of the 69th Session of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York of USA.

Newly appointed Bangladesh High Commissioner to UK M Abdul Hannan, Deputy High Commissioner Khandaker M Talha, Prime Minister’s sister Sheikh Rehena, president of UK unit Awami League Sultan Sharif, vice-president Jalal Uddin, general secretary Syed Faruq and joint general secretary Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury, among others, received her at Heathrow Airport at 6:50pm.

The premier directly went to Hilton on Park Lane Hotel after taking a few minutes rest at the airport. She will stay here during her visit to UK.

HC sources confirmed banglanews that the premier would not participate in any programs in her two-day personal visit to UK.

The premier will leave London to return to Bangladesh on October 1.
