Tarique terms Bangabandhu a killer

LONDON: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) senior vice chairman Tarique Rahman this time termed Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman a killer. 

He came up with the remarks while addressing a discussion at York Hall of Bethnal Green in London on Monday night.   

Tarique Rahman said: “Sheikh Mujib was killer. So many political killings took place during his reign.”

The BNP leader also said that returning from Pakistan with Pakistani passport, Sheikh Mujib grabbed the power illegally. 

Meanwhile, Tarique also termed the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as ‘wrong headed’. 

With BNP's UK unit president Shaesta Chowdhury Kuddus in the chair, general secretary Kaisar M Ahmed, BNP Chairperson’s advisor Advocate Joynal Abedin, Foreign affairs committee member secretary Mushfiqul Fazal Ansari and others delivered speech in the program.
