DHAKA: Jatiya Ganatantrik Party (JAGPA) has called dawn-to-dusk hartal (shutdown) in city for Wednesday in protest of the detention of its Dhaka city committee general secretary Sanaullah Sanu.

JAGPA general secretary Khandaker Lutfur Rahman announced the shutdown in the morning through a press release signed by party office secretary Hafizur Rahman.

City JAGPA president Asadur Rahman Khan, JAGPA Majdur League convener Sheikh Jamaluddin, Jubo JAGPA president Insan Alam Akkas, general secretary Rafiqul Islam Sikder, JAGPA Chhatra League president Saiful Alam, general secretary Sabbir Alam Chowdhury urged the city dwellers to make the hartal successful.
