Engineer Ishraque Hossain, special assistant on the BNP chairperson’s Foreign Affairs Committee, has become engaged to Barrister Nusrat Khan, party officials confirmed on Saturday.

BNP media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan said the family-arranged engagement and ring ceremony took place on Friday night. 

Family sources added that a reception is being planned in Dhaka, with relatives and colleagues to be invited.

Barrister Nusrat hails from Dhubaria village in Nagarpur upazila of Tangail. She is the eldest daughter of Nur Mohammad Khan, a former home minister and a member of the cabinet of the late President Ziaur Rahman.
