DHAKA: BNP hosted an iftar party for political leaders on Saturday (May 19), on the 2nd day of Ramadan.

The iftar program was held at Ladies Club in Dhaka where leaders of 20-party alliance and others have attended. 

BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir welcomed the guests in absence of party chairperson Khaleda Zia who is now in jail.

BNP standing committee member Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Barrister Jamir Uddin Sarker, Lieutenant General (Retd.) Mahbubur Rahman, Barrister Rafiqul Islam Miah, Abdul Moin Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, Mirza Abbas, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and others were present at the iftar party.

Of the leaders of 20-party alliance, Jamaat leader Mia Golam Parwar, Chairman of Bangladesh Kalyan Party Major General (retd) Syed Muhammad Ibrahim, Jatiya Party Secretary General Mostafa Jamal Haider, LDP Secretary General Redwan Ahmed, Chairman of Islami Oikya Jote advocate Abdur Rakib, Head of National Democratic Party (Jagpa) Professor Rehana, Bangladesh NAP Chairman Jebel Rahman Gani, Labor Party Chairman Dr. Mostafizur Rahman Iran, NDP Chairman Khandker Golam Mortuza and others were present at the event.
