DHAKA: BNP was permitted to hold a rally in Nayapaltan of the capital city, marking 40th founding anniversary of the party on September 1.

BNP Assistant Organising Secretary Abdus Salam Azad confirmed the matter to Banglanews Tuesday (August 29).

The rally will be held as part of a two-day program initiated by the central core of the party, he said.

The program was finalized in a joint meeting held at the central party office recently, he added. 

The program includes hoisting party flag at the BNP central office and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s political office in Gulshan, paying tribute to BNP founder Ziaur Rahman’s grave and a rally at Nayapaltan.

Moreover, a discussion will be held at the Institution of Engineers (IEB) at 3pm September 2.
