GAZIPUR: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader warned BNP of ‘befitting response’ if the party attempts to create violence in the name of movement.

Obaidul Quader, also the minister for road transport and bridges, was talking to the reporters after inspecting Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway in Bhogra area of Gazipur Thursday (August 30).

“Accompanying the people, proper response will be given if BNP chances any violent activity in name of forging national unity and protest,” he said.

“People are afraid of BNP as their demonstrations are synonymous to arson attack,” added the minister. 

Road & Highways Department (RHD) officials and Gazipur Superintendent of Police (SP) Shamsunnahar, among others, were present there.
