RANGPUR: Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad said he is not in favor of using the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) in the upcoming national polls.

“I wasn’t in favor of EVM before, not even now. I'm not sure whether using EVM could prevent rigging,” he said.

The former Bangladesh president was talking to reporters at Rangpur Circuit House on Thursday (September 20).

“If BNP joins election, JP will be in Awami League alliance. Things have changed. JP will earn victory staying with the alliance,” added HM Ershad.
