DHAKA: BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Saturday (September 22) said the government’s attempt to holding the national election without forming a neutral polls-time government will see failure ultimately.
Rizvi was addressing a press briefing at BNP’s central party office in Nayapaltan, around 11:30am.
“They will too fail in venturing the election without ensuring a neutral and non-partisan polls-time government, releasing Khaleda Zia, dissolving the parliament and reforming the EC,” he said.
He also accused the government of obstructing proper treatment of ailing BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
BNP Vice Chairman Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, Publication Affairs Secretary Habibul Islam Habib and Executive Member Aminul Islam, among others, were present.
