None can defeat, if AL remains united: Quader Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader addressing a campaign rally in Chittagong

FROM ELECTION ROAD TRIP: Terming the newly formed political alliance ‘National Unity’ as ‘Nationalist Communal Unity’, Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said the new alliance has no acceptability to the people.

He also said as always, nobody can defeat Awami League in the next election if it remains united.

Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, made the remarks while addressing a election campaign rally at the SR square in Shikalbahar area of Karnaphuli upazila of port city Chittagong on Sunday morning (Sep 23).

He said, “A national unity can not be formed without Awami League as it is the largest political party of Bangladesh. It is not National Unity but Nationalist Communal Unity. It has too many leaders with too many opinions. People will not respond to their call.”

Earlier on Sep 22, Gano Forum president and Jatiya Oikya Prokriya Convener Dr Kamal Hossain held a rally in Dhaka and said that national unity is necessary to establish people’s voting rights.

Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh president and Jukto Front chairman Dr. AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury and BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir among other BNP leaders joined the rally as united against the government.
