TANGAIL: Rangpur district unit Jubo League President Rashedunnabi Jewel was killed as a cement-laden truck collided with a Pajero on Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge Highway in Bhuapur Link Road.
Four others sustained injuries and were undergoing treatment at Tangail General Hospital.
Bangabandhu East Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mosharraf Hossain confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
Rashedunnabi, accompanying five others, was en route to Dhaka by a Pajero.
A cement-laden truck hit the Pajero on Bhuapur Link Road, leaving all of them injured, at early hours of the morning.
They were whisked-off to Tangail General Hospital where the physicians pronounced Rashedunabi dead.
