BNP’s 7-point demand illogical: Quader Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader talking to reporters in Gulshan

DHAKA: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said the 7-point demand of BNP is totally illogical, irrelevant and some even unconstitutional.

There is only a month left for the announcement of polls schedule. Even BNP knows that there are no time and scope to realize the demands, he said.

Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, made the response to reporters at week-long a public relations program in city’s Gulshan area on Monday noon (October 1).

The AL leader said BNP is just saying the absurd demands to cheer up their supporters. They know very well that there is rationality in realizing those.

Quader also urged people to be aware of all kinds of violent, sabotage and communal activities.

“We don’t want believe in any retaliatory programs. However, If BNP tries to create anarchy and violence, we will prevent it with people,” he added.

Earlier on Sep 30, BNP held a rally at Suhrawardy Udyan where it rolled out a 7-point demand including forming a non-political and neutral government ahead of the national election.
