DHAKA: The High Court has issued a directive asking the authorities concerned of the government to admit BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to BSMMU immediately for her treatment. 

The HC bench of Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif and Justice Razik-Al-Jalil also gave the order to form a fresh five-member medical board on Thursday (October 4).

Out of 5 doctors, 2 remain from the previous board while the rest 3 will be decided by the government.

Prof Abdul Jalil Chowdhury of internal medicine at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) and its physiatrist Associate Prof Badrunnesa Ahmed are from the previous board.

Besides, Khaleda Zia can take physiotherapist, gynecologist and technician as per her choice for her treatment subject to the approval from the medical board.
