DHAKA: A new political alliance comprising four political parties has commenced its journey Tuesday (Oct 9).
Leaders of the alliance ‘Bam Oikyo Front’ said the emergence of the unity is aimed at rescuing the country from current ‘political crisis’ and bringing full-fledged changes to the society.
The alliance has Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal, Ganamukti Union, Bangladesh Samajtantrik Party and Communist Union.
Leaders of a faction of the alliance briefed media, marking the beginning, at a press briefing held at the Jatiya Press Club in the morning.
Coordinator of the alliance also Ganamukti Union Convener Nasir Uddin Ahmed Nasu, and members--BASOD leaders Showkat Hossain Ahmed and Moyeen Uddin Chowdhury Liton and Samajtantrik Dal leader Sarwar Morshed, among others, were present.
They said they will disclose an outline on Oct 11 including the demand of forming an interim caretaker government, ahead of the national polls in December.
