NARAYANGANJ: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said BNP will have to face tough situation if they does not officially withdrew Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury’s remarks on army chief.
Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, made the remarks to reporters while visiting bridge construction works in Kanchpur of Narayanganj on Saturday noon (October 13).
Alleging that a quarter of BNP was involved in the February 25 Pilkhana massacre, he said, “A portion of BNP helped escape killers of Pilkhana incident just as they did for killers of August 21 grenade attack incident. BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia was also aware of the matter as she was missing from around 7:00am on February 25 for almost twenty-four hours.”
Terming BNP as a terrorist party, Minister Quader said, “They have no morality or ethics. Now people like Dr. Kamal Hossain and Dr. AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury, who advocate for morality and ideals, joined with the terrorist party.”
Quader also warned BNP secretary general Fakhrul Islam Alamgir to maintain decency in his speech.
