DHAKA: BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said the Election Commission (EC) is busy with forgery in name of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) ahead of upcoming election.
The senior BNP leader made the remarks at a press briefing in party’s Naya Paltan office on Sunday morning (October 28).
He said the controversial EVMs that were rejected by different countries will be bought with Tk 3,825 crore so that some ruling party men can get rich before election. The use of EVM in the upcoming national polls is being rushed to carry out digital vote rigging.
Rizvi also reminisced Oct 28 in 2006 saying that Awami League men brutally killed six people in city’s Paltan area in that day. “Countrymen have not forgotten the deadly horror of this day when AL proved that violent terrorism is its ideology and policy”, he added.
