DHAKA: The second phase dialogue between the Awami League-led 14-party alliance and Dr Kamal Hossain-led Jatiya Oikya Front (JOF) will be held on November 7.
The small-scale dialogue will be held at 11am at Ganabhaban, Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader told reporters after a meeting of the 14-party alliance at Ganabhaban on Sunday night (November 4).
Obaidul Quader, “Our leader is generous about dialogue. We will hold dialogue with as many parties as possible by November 7. Different parties want to hold dialogue. No more dialogue is possible after November 7.”
JOF held its first dialogue with the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina led 14-party alliance on November 1.
The alliance placed its 7-point demands during the talks at Ganobhaban on November 1.
JOF was formed on October 13.
JOF includes Dr Kamal Hossain-led Jatiya Oikya Prokriya, ASM Abdur Rab's Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal, Mahmudur Rahman Manna's Nagorik Oikya, and BNP
The alliance was formed with the demands of a national election under a neutral government after dissolution of parliament and release of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia from jail.
