JESSORE: BNP standing committee member Tariqul Islam laid to eternal rest beside his parents’ graves at Karbala graveyard in Jessore town on Monday evening (Nov 5).

Tariqul Islam breathed his last at 5:05 pm at Apollo Hospital in Dhaka on Sunday (Nov 4). 

Tariqul’s first namaz-e-janaza was held at his Shantinagar residence on Dhaka followed by second and third namaz-e-janaza at BNP’s Naya Paltan central office and Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban. 

The body was then taken to Tariqul’s village home Jessore by a helicopter where family members, relatives, neighbors, BNP activists and leaders paid last tribute to him. His last namaz-e-janaza was held at Jessore Eidgah Maidan.
