DHAKA: BNP on Wednesday (Nov 7) submitted a list of its arrested leaders and activists, to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

BNP Assistant Office Secretary Taiful Islam Tipu submitted the list to the PMO, around 11am.

BNP Executive Committee members Prof Aminul Islam, Advocate Ziauddin Zia and Pabna District unit leader Md Salah Uddin accompanied him.

A list of the cases along with a letter of the party secretary general has been submitted. Personal officer to the Prime Minister Abdul Hamid received the list, Tipu told banglanews.

“We have submitted a partial list. 1046 cases have been mentioned in the list. More lists will be sent within next one to two days,” he added. 

However, a copy of the Wednesday’s list also has been sent to Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader.

During the first dialogue between the ruling alliance and Oikyafront on Nov 1, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina asked BNP Secretary General MiRZA Fakhrul Islam Alamgir to send the list.
