RAJSHAHI: Canceling the road-march program towards Rajshahi, Jatiya Oikyafront has decided to hold prescheduled rally here on Friday (Nov 9).

Though BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, at a post-dialogue press conference in Dr Kamal’s residence on Wednesday evening (Nov 7), said the road-march program will be held on schedule, it was cancelled a few hours later.   

Police gave permission to Jatiya Oikyafront for holding a rally in Ganakpara area of Rajshahi city on Friday (Nov 9).

BNP chairperson’s adviser Mizanur Rahman Minu said it to Banglanews on Wednesday evening (Nov 7). 

He said the rally will be held at Ganakpara around 2:00pm Friday. 

Earlier October 22, Rajshahi metropolitan unit BNP applied to RMP commissioner for approval of the Nov 2 rally. However, the program deferred due to a three-day long local Ijtema that started from Nov 1.
