DHAKA: The contesting candidates of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) would use ‘boat’, the symbol of ruling Awami League, in the 11th parliamentary election.

On Sunday (Nov 11), JSD sent a letter to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda regarding this. 

The letter signed by its president Hasanul Haq Inu sought permission from the commission to allocate them the indifferent symbol of Awami League as JSD candidates are contesting the polls under 14-party alliance led by Awami League. 

Separate copies of the letter were sent to EC secretary and EC election section joint secretary.
