DHAKA: The Awami League has extended the deadline for sale and submission of its nomination papers till Monday evening (Nov 12).

According to new deadline, nomination seekers can buy and submit the forms till 6:00pm Monday. 

The decision was made in party’s parliamentary board meeting chaired by AL president and Prime Minister Shiekh Hasina on Sunday afternoon (Nov 11).

After the meeting, AL general secretary Obaidul Quader briefed reporters.

He said sale and submission of nomination form will continue till tomorrow evening and Nomination seekers will be interview on Nov 14. 

The ruling party started the sale of nomination paper from Nov 9. Some 3,200 forms have been collected by hopeful candidates till the evening of Nov 10.
