DHAKA:  BNP senior joint secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi blamed Bangladesh Chhatra League and Jubo League for Nayapaltan arson attack of November 14.

“Activists of BCL and Jubo League torched police vehicles in front of law enforcers,” Rizvi told reporters at a press briefing in city’s Nayapaltan party office on Thursday (November 15).     

BCL is a students’ front while Jubo League is a youths’ front of ruling Awami League.

“More than 50 innocent leaders and activists were injured during random firing of police. Hundreds of nomination aspirants were arrested,” Rizvi also said showing images of attackers before media.

Why is this attack after announcing polls schedule? He asked Election Commission.

Other BNP leaders were present at the briefing.
