DHAKA UNIVERSITY (DU): Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on Thursday (Nov 15) protested BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s remarks over Wednesday’s clash in Nayapaltan and demanded apology from him. 

Leaders and activists of the ruling party’s student wing staged a rally at the Raju Sculpture of TSC in Dhaka University (DU).

“Those who carried out the attack all are cadres of Chhatra Dal and BNP. But, Mirza Fakhrul lied brazenly by terming them ‘helmeted force,” said BCL General Secretary Golam Rabbani.

“We, on behalf of BCL, will file defamation case against Mirza Fakhrul, Mirza Abbas and Goyeshwar Chandra Roy, to protest the falsehood,”   

“Mirza Fakhrul must seek unconditional apology within 48 hours, for his false remarks. Otherwise, we will beseige Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office,” added Rabbani.

BCL President Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shovon was addressed the rally.
